We bought a new Kia Niro a month ago. Before we had a BMW 116i from 2009, after over 120000km, we switched to Kia Niro.
Before making a decision, we had drive tests with Toyota CHR, Auris, hyundai ioniq, volvo v60 T4 and Kia. What stands out first is the quiet 6-speed DCT which is much more comfortable compared to the Toyota CVT. Toyota CHR looks big outside, but limited space inside. We also had a good test experience with Hyundai ioniq, but the dealer gives a bad offer. In the end, we had to decide between Niro and volvo v60. Volvo is more powerful, but we had to pay more road tax and the fuel economy is also bad. Kia is not our favourite brand, but 7 years guarantee should not be bad. We waited aroud a month to get our new car, and we loved it a lot.
It has all fancy functions, we like the adaptive CC and black spot detection very much, they are working perfectly. The highest fuel consumption we get now is 5L/100km on the highway and the best is 3.8L/100km inside the town (we has 18 inch tires, I think 16 inch tires can give better fuel economy). The navigation from Kia is good to use, and the JBL sound is also very good. The electric control drive seat and memory function is perfect, I can swith with my husband without wasting time to adjust the seat. The wireless charger is also working flowless, I can charge my phone easily without a cable. For now, I didn't try the car play yet.
Must get to know everything even better, so I'll come back to this later. First make some mileage.
