Achtergrond

De BMW E46 3-serie verving vanaf 1998 de succesvolle BMW E36 3-serie en was daarmee de vierde modellenreeks van de BMW 3-serie. De eerste twee E46-modellen waren de 323i en de 328i, beide in sedan-versie. De overige modellen werden geleidelijk geïntroduceerd, waarbij de Coupé, Cabrio en Touring modellen pas in 1999 leverbaar werden. Als laatste volgde de Compact, die overigens als eerste uit productie zou worden genomen toen in september 2004 de BMW 1-serie op de markt kwam. De E46 heeft een nieuw ontwikkelde neus en daklijn, en een grotere wielbasis dan zijn voorganger. Ook de motoren werden in de loop van zijn bestaan aangepakt. Zo werd de 320i 2,0 liter (150 pk) een 2,2 liter (170 pk) en werd de 323i (170 pk) en 328i (193 pk) vervangen door de 325i (192 pk) en 330i (231 pk). De 330d heeft een 3,0 liter 6 in lijnmotor, deze kreeg in 2003 een vermogen van 204 pk. De E46 kreeg in september 2001 een facelift waarbij er een lichte wijziging in de vorm van de koplampen en de indeling van de achterlichten was. Verder waren de voornaamste verschillen een nieuwe voorbumper en een andere motorkap met bredere nieren. De koplampen van de sedan en touring hebben een miniem verschil in vorm tegenover die van de coupé en cabrio. Met ingang van modeljaar 2005 werd de E46 uitgefaseerd door de introductie van de E90 en E91 modellen. De E46 is een van de meest verkochte auto's van de afgelopen 10 jaar. De E46 had vooral een sportiever afgesteld onderstel dan zijn voorganger, de E36. Daarnaast stelde BMW met de komst van de E46 nieuwe maatstaven voor dieselmotoren in de autobranche.

BMW E46 330Xi Touring M Sport

Deze prachtige en inmiddels zeldzame BMW E46 330Xi Touring facelift automaat youngtimer uit 2002 met slechts 145.835 km op de teller, in de mooie kleurcombinatie Titan Zilver Metallic (354) en zwart lederen sport interieur, is behalve de schokdemper volledig origineel en verkeert in een zeer nette staat. De 330Xi Touring is een niet-rokers en ongeval vrije auto, oorspronkelijk in Duitsland geleverd en door ons naar Nederland gehaald. De 330Xi Touring is goed onderhouden en heeft een volledig afgestempeld onderhoudsboekje. Verder heeft de 330Xi Touring een zeer rijk uitgeruste optielijst, waaronder vierwielaandrijving, DSC, afneembare trekhaak, automatisch verstelbare sportstoelen met stoelverwarming en geheugen, koplamp reinigingsinstallatie, PDC, mistlampen, Xenon, automatische airco, boordcomputer, hoogglans shadow line, carbon interieurlijsten en antraciet dakhemel.

Modificaties

Deze BMW E46 330Xi Touring is voorzien van Bilstein achter schokdempers. Verder verkeert deze BMW E46 330Xi Touring in een originele staat.

Werkzaamheden

Deze BMW E46 330Xi Touring is na binnenkomst eerst grondig gewassen en aan de onderkant gereinigd met stoom. Daarna is de 330Xi Touring geïnspecteerd op eventuele verborgen roest, lakschade en technische mankementen, die vervolgens vakkundig zijn hersteld. De originele M Sport style 68 breedset wielen zijn opnieuw gepoedercoat. Als laatste is de auto van binnen en buiten gedetailed.

New in our collection, this beautiful original 2002 BMW E46 330Xi Touring facelift automatic youngtimer.

Background

The BMW E46 3-series replaced the successful BMW E36 3-series from 1998, making it the fourth model series of the BMW 3-series. The first two E46 models were the 323i and the 328i, both in sedan form. The remaining models were introduced gradually, with the Coupé, Convertible and Touring models only becoming available in 1999. The Compact followed last, which would be the first to be taken out of production when the BMW 1-series came on the market in September 2004. The E46 has a newly developed nose and roofline, and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. The engines were also addressed in the course of its existence. For example, the 320i 2.0 liter (150 hp) became a 2.2 liter (170 hp) and the 323i (170 hp) and 328i (193 hp) were replaced by the 325i (192 hp) and 330i (231 hp). The 330d has a 3.0 liter 6 in-line engine, which in 2003 was rated at 204 hp. The E46 received a facelift in September 2001 with a slight change in the shape of the headlights and the layout of the taillights. Furthermore, the main differences were a new front bumper and a different bonnet with wider kidneys. The headlights of the saloon and touring are slightly different in shape from those of the coupe and convertible. As of model year 2005, the E46 was phased out with the introduction of the E90 and E91 models. The E46 is one of the best-selling cars of the past 10 years. The E46 mainly had a sportier chassis than its predecessor, the E36. In addition, with the arrival of the E46, BMW set new standards for diesel engines in the automotive industry.

BMW E46 330Xi Touring M Sport

This beautiful and now rare 2002 BMW E46 330Xi Touring facelift automatic youngtimer with only 145,835 km on the clock, in the beautiful color combination Titan Silver Metallic (354) and black leather sports interior, is completely original and is in a very nice condition. The 330Xi Touring is a non-smoking and accident-free car, originally delivered in Germany and brought to the Netherlands by us. The 330Xi Touring is well maintained and has a fully stamped service book. The 330Xi Touring also has a very richly equipped option list, including four-wheel drive, DSC, detachable tow bar, automatically adjustable sports seats with seat heating and memory, headlight cleaning system, PDC, fog lights, Xenon, automatic air conditioning, on-board computer, high-gloss shadow line, carbon interior trims and anthracite headliner.

Modifications

Work on this BMW

This BMW E46 330Xi Touring was first thoroughly washed after arrival and cleaned with steam at the bottom. The 330Xi Touring was then inspected for any hidden rust, paint damage and technical defects, which were then expertly repaired. The original M Sport style 68 wide set wheels have been re-powder coated. Finally, the car is detailed inside and out.
