Van zichzelf heeft een BMW E46 M3 al race-DNA, maar deze fenomenale tracktool in CSL-stijl vormt écht een verhaal apart. In de afgelopen elf jaar is in totaal 65.000 euro (!) geïnvesteerd in hoogwaardige modificaties met OEM-onderdelen en producten van A-merken. De highlights? Een vlijmscherp onderstel met bussen en uniballs van Millway, een drievoudig verstelbare KW V3 Clubsport-schroefset, camberplates, Eibach-stabilisatoren, Wiechers-veerpootbruggen, gesmede BBS-wielen en reusachtige remmen van AP-racing met zes zuigers vóór, vier zuigers achter en actieve koeling. De versterkte achteras kenmerkt zich door een Drexler-sperdifferentieel met een 3.91-overbrenging en Burkhart-homokineten. Tot -5 graden camberverstelling is mogelijk, met behoud van een optimale sporing.

Motorisch ligt de nadruk op robuustheid en betrouwbaarheid: versterkte drijfstanglagers, gereviseerde VANOS en verbeterde koeling via een Spal-ventilator. Inademen geschiedt via een carbon airbox, uitademen via een Megan Racing Supremo-uitlaat met Supersprint High-flow-katalysatoren. De toerenhongerige zes-in-lijn en de handgeschakelde zesbak met shortshifter hangen in stijve steunen en voor de veiligheid staan een Wiechers-rolkooi en een OMP-brandblusser garant. Gauge.S voorziet in uitgebreide datalogging. Het betreft slechts een greep uit een waslijst aan zinvolle upgrades, die deze E46 M3 volledig capabel maken om urenlang de mooiste circuits te bedwingen en onbezorgd de limieten op te zoeken. De enige beperkende factoren betreffen de benzinevoorraad en het uithoudingsvermogen van de stuurman…

De techniek is altijd toevertrouwd aan een gespecialiseerde racepreparateur, die elke 800 km de motorolie en elke 3000 km de differentieelolie heeft ververst. Het onderstreept dat de vorige eigenaar van deze BMW E46 M3 niets aan het toeval wilde overlaten, om ongelimiteerd van zijn tracktool te kunnen genieten. Niet alleen op het circuit, maar ook op de openbare weg, want deze sensationele machine staat op kenteken en is volledig straatlegaal. A BMW E46 M3 already has racing DNA in its own right, but this phenomenal CSL-style track tool truly stands in a league of its own. Over the past eleven years, a total of €65,000 (!) has been invested in high-quality modifications using OEM components and premium A-brand products. The highlights? A razor-sharp suspension setup featuring Millway bushings and uniballs, a three-way adjustable KW V3 Clubsport coilover kit, camber plates, Eibach anti-roll bars, Wiechers strut braces, forged BBS wheels, and massive AP Racing brakes with six-piston calipers up front, four-piston calipers at the rear, and active cooling.

The reinforced rear axle is defined by a Drexler limited-slip differential with a 3.91 final drive ratio and Burkhart CV joints. Up to –5 degrees of camber adjustment is possible, while maintaining optimal toe settings.

Mechanically, the focus is on robustness and reliability: reinforced rod bearings, a rebuilt VANOS system, and improved cooling via a Spal fan. Intake duties are handled by a carbon airbox, while exhaust gases exit through a Megan Racing Supremo exhaust with Supersprint high-flow catalytic converters. The rev-hungry inline-six and the six-speed manual gearbox with short shifter are mounted in stiffened mounts, and safety is ensured by a Wiechers roll cage and an OMP fire extinguisher. Gauge.S provides extensive data logging.
