De MGB is niet voor niets een zeer populaire klassieke auto. Dat is niet alleen vanwege het stijlvolle design van deze aantrekkelijke roadster, maar ook vanwege de bijzondere gebruiksvriendelijkheid. Het is een eenvoudig te rijden auto met gegarandeerd heel veel rijplezier. En dat geldt ook voor deze in 1969 geproduceerde MGB Roadster. Oorspronkelijk is deze auto geleverd in de Verenigde Staten in de kleur British Racing Green. De auto is al lange tijd geleden gerestaureerd en tijdens de restauratie heeft men ervoor gekozen om de kleur te wijzigen naar het huidige stijlvolle (maar ook sportieve) rood.

Deze MGB is sinds 1998 in Nederland en heeft verschillende eigenaren gehad, waarvan de laatste eigenaar de auto al ruim 17 jaar in bezit heeft. De auto heeft uiteraard regelmatig onderhoud gehad, wat onder andere blijkt uit diverse onderhoudsfacturen en een logboek. Het resultaat is een heerlijk rijdende MGB in nette conditie.

De carrosserie is in nette tot zeer nette conditie. De rode kleur heeft nog een diepe en stijlvolle glans en op verschillende plekken zijn wat gebruikerssporen te zien. De carrosseriedelen sluiten goed op elkaar aan en de diverse afdichtingen en rubbers zijn nog in goede staat. Het chroomwerk is niet meer in perfecte staat, maar toch zeker nog wel bijzonder mooi te noemen. De stijlvolle verchroomde spaakvelgen zijn nog in goede staat en vormen een prachtige combinatie met de rode carrosserie kleur. Dit geldt ook voor het mooie verchroomde kofferrek. De cabrioletkap is nog in zeer goede conditie.

Ook het interieur is nog in goede staat. De zwarte skai-lederen stoelen zitten bijzonder comfortabel en zijn in goede conditie. Ook de zwarte vloerbekleding is in bijzonder mooie en nette staat. De diverse chroom en sierdelen zijn netjes en het dashboard is ook in nette conditie. Er zijn ook op het dashboard wat gebruikerssporen te zien, maar het is netjes en verzorgd. Het lederen stuurwiel ligt lekker stevig in de hand en is in goede conditie.

De auto rijdt en schakelt bijzonder goed. De motor loopt soepel en rustig en ook de remmen werken naar behoren. De eigenaar heeft nog wel een 123 ontsteking besteld, deze is nog niet gemonteerd. De aanwezige oliekoeler zorgt voor extra koeling en bedrijfszekerheid. Deze MGB stuurt bijzonder fijn en soepel. Uit de uitlaat komt een heerlijke sportieve brom, dus een radio is overbodig.

It is an easy-to-drive car with guaranteed lots of driving pleasure. And that also applies to this MGB Roadster, produced in 1969. This car was originally delivered in the United States in the colour British Racing Green. The car was restored a long time ago and during the restoration it was decided to change the colour to the current stylish (but also sporty) red.

This MGB has been in the Netherlands since 1998 and has had several owners, the last of whom has owned the car for over 17 years. The car has of course had regular maintenance, which is evident from various maintenance invoices and a logbook. The result is a wonderfully driving MGB in neat condition.

The black carpeting is also in particularly beautiful and neat condition. The various chrome and trim parts are neat and the dashboard is also in neat condition. There are also some traces of use on the dashboard, but it is neat and well maintained. The leather steering wheel is nice and firm in the hand and is in good condition.

The car drives and shifts particularly well. The engine runs smoothly and quietly and the brakes also work properly. The owner has ordered a 123 ignition, which has not yet been installed. The present oil cooler provides extra cooling and operational reliability. This MGB steers exceptionally fine and smoothly. A wonderful sporty hum comes from the exhaust, so a radio is unnecessary.
