Nieuw in onze collectie, deze prachtige BMW E63 M6 Coupé youngtimer uit 2006, met de legendarische S85 5.0i V10 motor en SMG-III geautomatiseerde handgeschakelde versnellingsbak. De BMW E63 M6 Coupé was de eerste reguliere productie BMW met een dak van carbon, dat destijds voor het laatst werd gebruikt op de E46 M3 CSL.

Achtergrond

Na een onderbreking van de M6-productie van 16 jaar, werd in 2005 de M6-versie van de E63/E64 6-serie geïntroduceerd. De M6 gebruikt dezelfde BMW S85 5.0i V10 motor en SMG-III geautomatiseerde handgeschakelde versnellingsbak als de BMW E60/E61 M5. De M6 werd geproduceerd als zowel een coupé (E63) als een cabriolet (E64). De M6 heeft twee modi voor motorvermogen die met een knop op het stuur zijn in te schakelen: een 'P400'-modus waarin de motor een nominaal vermogen heeft van 294 kW / 394 pk en een 'P500'-modus van 373 kW / 507 pk. Gewichtsbesparing werd bereikt door een dak van carbon (een primeur in die tijd), thermoplastische zijpanelen, aluminium deuren, aluminium motorkap en een achterklep van thermovezel plastic. Voor de E63/E64 M6 werd de unieke kleur Indianapolis rood metallic (A31) ontwikkeld, die verder ook geleverd werd in de andere kleuren van de toenmalige BMW M-modellen: Saphir zwart metallic (475), Sepang brons metallic (A32), Interlagos blauw metallic (A30) en Silverstone blauw metallic (A29).

New in our collection, this beautiful 2006 BMW E63 M6 Coupé youngtimer, featuring the legendary S85 5.0i V10 engine and SMG-III automated manual gearbox. The BMW E63 M6 Coupé was the first regular production BMW with a carbon roof, which was last used on the E46 M3 CSL at the time.

Background

After a 16-year hiatus in M6 production, the M6 version of the E63/E64 6 series was introduced in 2005. The M6 uses the same BMW S85 5.0i V10 engine and SMG-III automated manual transmission as the BMW E60/E61 M5. The M6 was produced as both a coupé (E63) and a convertible (E64). The M6 has two engine power modes that can be switched on with a button on the steering wheel: a 'P400' mode in which the engine has a rated power of 294 kW / 394 hp and a 'P500' mode of 373 kW / 507 hp. Weight savings were achieved through a carbon roof (a first at the time), thermoplastic side panels, aluminum doors, aluminum bonnet and a thermofibre plastic tailgate. For the E63/E64 M6, the unique Indianapolis red metallic (A31) colour was developed, which was also supplied in the other colours of the then BMW M models: Saphir black metallic (475), Sepang bronze metallic (A32), Interlagos blue metallic (A30) and Silverstone blue metallic (A29).
