Toyota Motor announced the details of the EV (electric vehicle) “e-Palette” (Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic specification) that will be provided to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a mobility service using self-driving cars. e-Palette (Tokyo 2020 specification) has a body size of 5255 x 2065 x 2760mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 4000mm. The maximum speed is 19km / h and the cruising range is 150km. There are 20 crew members (including one operator). When using a wheelchair, there are 4 people and 7 standing people.

Na alle autonome concept cars (er was trouwens ook een e-Palette Concept in 2018) gaat Toyota er gewoon een produceren en ik vond het wel een eigen topic waard. Uiteraard nog niet voor veelvuldig gebruik op de openbare weg maar wel een stap in de goeie richting. Ik hou hier wel van!
