Mitsuoka Motors announced the "M55 Zero Edition" on November 21st. The number of units produced and sold in 2025 will be limited to 100, with only one grade available in Legendary Gray Metallic exterior color and 6-speed MT. The price is 8,085,000 yen. Applications will be accepted from November 22nd to January 19th, 2025, and will close if the number of applicants reaches 350, even if it is within the period.

The M55 Zero Edition is a production model of the "M55 CONCEPT" unveiled in November 2023 as a concept model to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Mitsuoka's founding, and is primarily targeted at people of the same generation who have lived the same 55 years as Mitsuoka Motors, which was founded in 1968. Based on the various events experienced in the impressionable childhoods of boys and girls and the sense of the times in the 1970s, the car is said to embody the minds of people who ran through the era filled with dreams and hopes, and the great energy to change the future ahead.

The M55 Zero Edition is fitted with a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbo engine in a body measuring 4735 x 1805 x 1415mm (length x width x height) and drives the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. It produces a maximum output of 134kW (182PS) at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 240Nm (24.5kgfm) at 1700-4500rpm. As a special specification unique to the M55 Zero Edition, it comes standard with special rear glass louvers, special aluminum wheels, and special genuine leather seats with the "Zero Edition" logo embroidered on them.

"When he thought about what people of the same generation really get excited about, he realized that all the cars he saw and admired as a child were based on American design".
