Dit zijn de eerste spionagefoto's van de Kia Tasman met de daadwerkelijke carrosserie. Tot nu toe reden alleen testmules met verbouwde carrosserie van de Kia Mohave rond. De Kia Tasman is een van de twee pick-ups die Kia in ontwikkeling heeft: de Tasman is een traditionele pick-up met ladderchassis en dieselmotor, om precies te zijn de 2,2-liter dieselmotor van de Sorento, die in Zuid-Korea van de band zal rollen als concurrent van de KGM/SsangYong Musso en Ford Ranger. De andere wordt een elektrische pick-up, die in de VS van de band zal rollen. De twee belangrijkste markten voor de Tasman worden Zuid-Korea en Australië.
